As always, Zappa tells it how it is. It is simply put but conveys such truth. The number of legendary bands coming out of the sixties up to the eighties is mind boggling. And what is disturbing above all is that many of those bands had heavy experimental backgrounds and they belonged to mainstream pop at the time. The industry produced and the people listened, and they bought, and they loved. Now people still love whats coming out of their TV or radio stations (I’m talking mainstream here) cause its been rammed down their throats. Even doggies will wag their tail when you bring them their canned dog food every day.
