In every show there is ALWAYS a guy screaming loudly and waving his arms around for no reason, usually a very drunk guy who’s stench grips your attention from 20 feet away. This person is more often then not a total nuisance for the audience, and if you’re unlucky you’ll be his neighbor wishing he’ll eventually pass out at some point and stop his voodoo dance. But he never does and he’s always there, relentlessly waiting for his chance to shove or hit, and while doing so shouting foul words to who knows what. Here is how a couple of our best bud rock stars deal with this breed of impolite fans:

Oh man. That clip of Maynard James Keenan from Tool is priceless. In the full length version not only does he judo flip the fan after faking a hug, he then continues to sing the song while clinching a rear naked choke on the fan, who’s face is turning blue. He then proceeds to straddle the guy with his knees pinning his arms down and sings out the rest of the tune while slapping the guy in the face.
Poor guy.
I was in a band in the late 90’s touring up the east coast of the states, and there was one show in particular in West Palm Beach where someone threw a beer bottle at my drummer, who stopped the song and launched himself off the stage and planted a Jehovah-kick in the dudes chest. It was pretty dope.
I dont know what to think about that tool clip. I mean the flip and lock are hilarious but slapping him in the face? :) bah the dude seems quite clueless. If all he did was get on stage he doesn’t deserve that kind of shit. Its the bouncers fault he got up there.
The Robbie Williams part, now that is art. Cant stand the guy so serves him well.
concerning your drummers thing, you guys continued after that? what happened to the guy?
In the whole version of ‘guns n roses’ clip, axl fight’s the guy for like 5minutes or something, then he gets back up on stage just to blow off the audience and leaves…
I really dig Dave Mustaine’s nonchalance, pure zen.
And i agree with the doggy, Robbie Williams part is art!
yea
hahah
dave mustain is incredible:)
plus the guy picked up taekwondo and is like a black belt or something. He deploys all his zen in that vid.
Love it. Man Megadeth was an awesome band.
Mruff
nothing beats Keith unslinging his guitar and beating the fan with it and then straddling it back on and picking right back up into the song, it was soooo fluent!
