Just literally stumbled upon this website that caused me to spend 15 minutes doodling around with it (literally as in I used Stumble Upon to find this site). It’s called This Day in Music and it basically tells you what hits, from the UK, US and Australian charts, were No. 1 every single day between 1946 and 2009.
was No. 1 in the Uk charts for my Bday, and Olivia Newton John’s
Let’s Get Physical lead both the US and Australian charts on that same day.
I’m trying not to see “Under Pressure” as a coincidence, and frankly I don’t know what the hell americans and aussies were thinking on Novermber 24th 1981:
Cool little tool that I’m sure our friend Robert, who writes our weekly “The Key To Music” posts, would have some fun with (although it’s a pity we have to refresh the page to compare chart results or even enter a new date). Wonder if there is any correlation between those hits and current events or something.
